Dr. Stephen Markewich, MD is a double board-certified interventional pain management physician and anesthesiologist at Algone Premier Pain Clinic. He serves patients from all over Alaska.

Dr. Markewich is originally from Canada where he completed much of his college education. After medical school Dr. Markewich completed his Anesthesiology training at University of North Carolina, where he also acted as Chief Resident during his senior year. Dr. Markewich also completed his Pain Medicine fellowship at University of North Carolina. Since completing his Pain Medicine fellowship, Dr. Markewich has practiced medicine in Colorado and North Dakota where he was the chair over multiple hospital departments. Dr. Markewich has now joined Algone Premier’s team in Alaska, serving as the Medical Director.
